As a Courier, Freight, and Driver Dock Support Specialist at SPS Global, you will be integral to our logistics and distribution operations, focusing on delivering top-notch courier and freight services. This position involves detailed coordination and execution of parcel and mail delivery across various locations, ensuring operational efficiency and excellent service delivery.   • Navigate predefined routes via automobile to deliver mail and parcels, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Manage the loading, unloading, and proper distribution of freight, adhering to safety and efficiency protocols.
  • Serve as a critical point of support for dock operations, including assisting with the organization and management of shipping and receiving areas.
  • Responsible for the routine maintenance and operational readiness of delivery vehicles, including inspections and compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate logs and time stamps for items received and delivered, supporting chain of custody requirements and ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both clients and SPS employees, enhancing the professional image of the company.
  • Proactively seek out additional tasks during downtime and provide support across various operational areas as needed.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years prior work experience in courier, freight handling, or similar roles preferred.
  • Current state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to work assigned hours as determined by the manager.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High-level customer service orientation with a focus on professionalism and efficiency.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in using technology to track deliveries and maintain records.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills.
  • The role requires physical activity including lifting, bending, and maneuvering freight up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and sit for extended periods.
  • Local travel is a fundamental part of this role.
