Our Hayward, CA laboratory is looking for a Courier/Lab Technician to join their team. This person's time will be split between courier responsibilities and helping in the lab as well. Please note that this location will provide a vehicle. A valid, clean driving record is required to be considered.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast paced, highly professional environment.

  • Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given post) Required

  • Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus) Required
  • Ability to see color Required

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and deliver samples from clients, project sites, and field staff in a timely and professional manner.
  • Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and chain-of-custody procedures during transport.
  • Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements in accordance with company regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal staff regarding scheduling and deliveries.
  • Receive, log, and prepare samples for analysis according to established protocols.
  • Assist analysts with routine testing, preparation, and basic instrumentation tasks.
  • Perform data entry, documentation, and quality control checks to maintain accurate records.
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards (AIHA, NVLAP, ELAP, etc.), and laboratory SOPs.
  • Support inventory management and general laboratory upkeep.
