About The Position

The Driver / Operator is responsible for the courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages using company vehicles. This role involves checking shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and providing related customer service functions. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Ramp/SIDA Badge may be required within 90 days of hire.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance since customer contact is required.
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
