About The Position

The Driver / Operator is responsible for the courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages using company vehicles. This role involves checking shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and providing related customer service functions. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance since customer contact is required.
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate company vehicles for package delivery and pick-up.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
• Provide customer service functions related to deliveries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
