About The Position

The Courier position at CompuNet Clinical Laboratories is a full-time role responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patient specimens and other materials within the Columbus area. The Courier acts as an ambassador for the company, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures while providing excellent service to clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and compliance with vehicle insurance standards.
• Personal computer literacy.
• Geographic knowledge of Columbus and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day route operations by tracking, sorting, storing, and transporting patient specimens and other materials.
• Ensure compliance with timekeeping, attendance, vehicle safety, and cleanliness requirements.
• Safely transport specimens, supplies, reports, and equipment to designated locations.
• Operate the company vehicle safely and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Prepare and check equipment and tools needed for the route, including scanners and coolers.
• Maintain specimen integrity during transport and utilize appropriate carrying methods.
• Deliver client supplies and manage physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds and using hand carts.
• Promote positive communication with clients, coworkers, and hospital staff.
• Report traffic citations and accidents to management.
• Meet training requirements in a timely manner and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
