About The Position
The County Surveyor (Land Surveyor Manager) is a leadership role within the County of San Diego's Department of Public Works, responsible for managing the Land Surveying Section of the Land Development Division. This position oversees a team of more than 15 staff members, manages budgets, and ensures the delivery of survey support services for various departmental projects. The County Surveyor also plays a critical role in public service by managing survey records, assisting with subdivision map reviews, and acting as an expert witness for the County.
