Requirements

• Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college level coursework including 12 college credits in relevant social sciences; or
• A bachelor's degree supplemented by 12 college credits in relevant social sciences; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 college credits in relevant social sciences and one year of experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

• Assess general requests/referrals for child welfare services.
• Conduct assessments of reports of serious abuse and/or neglect.
• Engage in extensive telephone, office, and community contacts with consumers.
• Develop recommendations for appropriate Joinder and/or community-based services.
• Perform safety assurance, intake, placement, and short-term assessments.
• Provide information and referral services, case management, and disposition recommendations.
