About The Position
We are excited to hire a County Auditor to join our team! In this unique position, you will be appointed by County Council but report directly to the County Manager. In this pivotal role, the County Auditor will be responsible for overseeing the financial integrity of the county through effective planning, budgeting, accounting, and tax administration. The County Auditor leads the Auditor's Office, supervises staff, and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high ethical standards, a strong commitment to public service, and the ability to drive process improvements while balancing short- and long-term financial strategies. In this leadership role, you will work collaboratively with the County Manager, County Council, and other departments to provide accurate financial reporting and improve operational efficiency.
