About The Position

The Pet Grooming Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Pet Groomer with preparing animals for their scheduled services. These responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Develop long term relationships with pet owners by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that will keep their pet healthy and happy Ensure the Wellness and Safety of pet patrons at all times Perform routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment fun and inviting Call clients in advance of appointments to reduce missed appointments & offer additional service offerings Assist with bathing animals and drying animals Assist with nail trimming services and other walk in services Be willing to learn more about grooming procedures & techniques Assist store team members during grooming downtime Must be reliable & punctual

Requirements

Have a High School Diploma or GED
Ability to move or lift merchandise, pets and/or equipment weighing up to 50lbs
Able to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
Basic knowledge of phone etiquette & computer usage
Animal handling experience
The candidate must successfully pass a background check
