About The Position

Polish and finish countertops by hand, using a wet power hand grinder to ensure a smooth surface. Edge and inspect final products to product specifications. This position is Monday through Friday, with a start time of 6:00am to 2:30pm.

Requirements

• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Experience of 1 year or more in countertop or construction preferred but not required
• Experience with hand tools, routers, and electric sanders is a plus
• Ability to read and comprehend shop paperwork
• Ability to use basic measuring tools
• Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 100lbs

Nice To Haves

• Experience in auto body finishing is a plus

Responsibilities

• Examine order specifications using blueprints, drawings, and/or work orders, to determine characteristics of finished items, materials to be used and machine set-up requirements.
• Operate hand and power sander/tools to sand solid surface countertops
• Visually inspect and examine final products for visual and surface defects
• Maintaining a neat and clean work area and machines
• Examine sanding disc and replace worn parts, clean machines and workstation
• Contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely and accurate manner
• Perform related duties as required to support department and company objectives
