Amentum is seeking a Counterterrorism Analyst to join our team of passionate individuals in Reston, VA. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation's security and intelligence mission. Amentum provides warning and all-source analytical support to DIA's Defense Combating Terrorism Office to drive DoD policy, planning, and operational decisions to counter regional and transnational terrorism threats. We conduct mission-critical counterterrorism analysis focused on operational and strategic effects against emerging terrorist threat networks and identities operating globally with intent to harm U.S. persons, facilities, and interests. Our work includes delivering national watchlisting support to the TIDE database, providing expert assessments for the Pentagon/Joint Staff, and 24/7/365 support to DoD and senior policy decision makers, as well as international and interagency partners, on predictive threat assessments regarding transnational and regional terrorist threats.

  • Conduct research and analysis of data, information, and intelligence to produce a wide range of finished all-source intelligence products for senior U.S. defense department and government officials.
  • Produce in-depth strategic and operational analysis of transnational terrorist networks and activities.
  • Coordinate all products within DIA and with other IC partners, meeting formatting, classification, and dissemination guidelines.
  • Possess knowledge of capabilities and limitations of intelligence collection disciplines.
  • Drive collection to identify and answer intelligence gaps.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with applying SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, and HUMINT data sets and databases.
  • Support DoD field collectors and determine the best methodology to prepare and produce integrated intelligence products.
  • Provide analytical support for special operations and conventional activities.
  • Respond to customer requests for terrorism information with both oral and written products at the strategic, operational and tactical levels.
  • Produces IC-coordinated all-source intelligence analytic products on non-state actors such as terrorist and insurgency groups.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in counterterrorism or related fields.
  • Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Poly.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the 200 Series of ODNI's ICDs.
  • Ability to produce formal written strategic counterterrorism and all-source intelligence assessments.
  • 8 years of experience related to the specific labor category.
  • Bachelor's degree in an area related to the labor category.
  • Previous CT experience in a national level intelligence agency.
  • Desired degree in security or intelligence studies with a focus on terrorism or transnational security threats.
  • AI literacy.
