About The Position

This role is responsible for due diligence review and analysis of new prospective correspondent clients and monitoring a portfolio of existing delegated correspondent clients. Correspondent clients consist of mortgage companies, banks and credit unions that Sell loans to AmeriHome. The analyst will be responsible for providing financial and business analysis and recommendations to management. Applicants must be interested in research, data entry, writing, and financial analysis. Analysts are responsible for more complex portfolio of sellers consisting of a higher concentration of delegated sellers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required (preferably in related field of accounting, finance, or economics)
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat to view and modify PDF files
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Self-motivation to work independently and assist peers when needed

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of delegated correspondent clients (mortgage banks and financial institutions)
  • Analyze and spread financial statements
  • Identify risks, trends, and concerns and write comprehensive analysis
  • Data entry of client information
  • Follow checklists to ensure all review items are received and completed
  • Communicate with clients via email and phone to obtain documentation
  • Draft and send legal documents and notices to clients
  • Verify accuracy of data between documents and systems
  • Research and collect data from multiple web sources
  • Setup and participate in conference calls with clients to ask financial & business questions
  • Assist and help train Jr. Counterparty Risk Analysts
  • Process new Seller Applications and provide recommendations to AmeriHome executive management
  • Perform ongoing watch-list reviews on clients triggering for concerns with financial or loan performance
