The CI Officer III will conduct defensive CI activities in support of client mission. This position involves conducting daily research to gather, assimilate, evaluate and interpret information concerning intelligence, terrorism and espionage threats against personnel, programs, technology and information systems and/or facilities and the National System for GEOINT (NSG). The role requires providing daily CI analyses for distribution to selected parties within the agency, the DoD, and the Intelligence Community, as well as publishing finished intelligence with recommendations for mitigation and countermeasures.

  • Conduct daily research to gather, assimilate, evaluate and interpret information concerning intelligence, terrorism and espionage threats.
  • Provide daily CI analyses for distribution to selected parties within agency, the DoD, and the Intelligence Community.

  • Detect and assess anomalous activities for links to possible foreign intelligence collection.
  • Immediately alert the government to imminent foreign intelligence, terrorism and espionage threats.
  • Provide analytical forecasts of foreign intelligence, terrorism and espionage threats.
  • Provide CI assessments of proposed international agreements involving GEOINT sharing.
  • Provide annual CI threat analyses of foreign intelligence and terrorism threats to agency employees.
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of applicable analytical tools to conduct CI analysis.
  • Liaise with DoD, the Intelligence Community, and law enforcement entities.
  • Prepare briefs related to CI activities for delivery to internal and external audiences.
  • Conduct formalized threat briefings tailored for agency travelers and geospatial-related conferences.
  • Conduct foreign contact and foreign travel debriefings and prepare applicable reports.
  • Provide CI advice and expertise in CI Risk Assessments in support of personnel security.
  • Provide CI technical expertise to support vulnerability mitigation efforts.
  • Provide CI expertise in protecting emerging geospatial and IC technologies.
  • Support Research and Technology Protection initiatives by writing CI Threat Assessments.
  • Produce Supply Chain Risk Assessment reports in support of IC Desk Top Environment compliance.
  • Support and attend IC DTE JPMO Supply Chain Management Working Group.
  • Interview agency personnel and prepare operational reports and summaries.
  • Provide formal reports of findings and recommendations for unauthorized disclosures.
  • Process Intelligence Community items in support of Special Access Programs.
  • Conduct CI damage assessments involving the loss or unauthorized disclosure of intelligence.
  • Produce Intelligence Information Reports and CI Notes for Agency awareness.
  • Work closely with members of the Intelligence Community to share information and collaborate.
  • Conduct CI inquiries and process agency documents for public release.
  • Participate in agency and IC directed damage assessment task forces.
  • Complete assigned tasks and activities within prescribed timelines and standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in National Intelligence Studies, Law Enforcement, History, Analysis/Research, Journalism, Political Science, Library Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, or related field.
  • Credentialed graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of CI experience.
  • Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Master's Degree in a related field.
