About The Position

As a Counter Staff Shift Leader at our seafood market, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the counter, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and supervising a team of counter staff. Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry or retail environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service Excellence: Greet customers and assist them with their seafood selections.
  • Ensure a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain knowledge of seafood products, including sourcing, preparation, and cooking recommendations.
  • Team Supervision and Training: Supervise, train, and mentor counter staff members.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback..
  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily opening and/or closing procedures of the counter.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as needed.
  • Manage cash handling procedures and reconcile transactions at the end of shifts.
  • Quality Control: Monitor product displays to ensure attractive presentation and organization.
  • Collaborate with management to develop promotional strategies and marketing initiatives.
