About The Position

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to handle cash and process financial transactions accurately.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail, especially with inventory and product handling.
  • Ability to lift and move items (may require physical effort, including lifting up to 25-50 lbs).
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS) or retail POS systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Provide product information, recommendations, and pricing details to customers.
  • Process sales transactions, including cash, credit, and digital payments.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns effectively, aiming for high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain an organized and clean sales counter area.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products when appropriate to meet customer needs and increase sales.
  • Keep track of daily sales, returns, and exchanges, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
  • Assist in creating and managing promotional displays at the counter.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods, ensuring accuracy in quantities and quality.
  • Organize and store inventory in the warehouse, ensuring it is accessible and well-stocked.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately, ensuring they are ready for dispatch or customer collection.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO—First In, First Out).
  • Ensure all warehouse areas are maintained in a safe and clean condition, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles as required.
  • Support the preparation of goods for shipping, including labeling, packaging, and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales, and customer transactions.
  • Assist with stocktaking and inventory audits as required.
  • Report any discrepancies or damage to goods in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth workflow between sales and warehouse operations.
