We’re seeking a Counter Sales Associate who is energized by customer interaction and skilled at providing product support and solutions. This role is primarily focused on serving walk-in customers—answering product questions, preparing quotes, and assisting with order pickups. While you may occasionally support warehouse activities, this position is best suited for someone who excels in face-to-face service and building strong customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Prior sales or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.
  • Ability to learn and use point-of-sale and inventory systems (basic computer skills required).
  • Willingness to support physical aspects of the role, including lifting and moving materials.
  • Team-player mindset, able to jump in and help wherever needed.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to multi-task in a busy environment.
  • Must have a valid driver license and satisfactory MVR driving history.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service at the counter—answering product questions, preparing quotes, and finalizing sales.
  • Accurately pull and stage orders for customer pickup, ensuring timely and professional service.
  • Assist customers in safely loading products into their vehicles.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support promotional efforts, upsell opportunities, and service needs.
  • Maintain product knowledge to help guide customers to the right solutions.
  • Receive and verify inbound shipments and process inventory into the system.
  • Support store-level purchasing by placing orders with local vendors as directed.
  • Ensure all counter displays are organized, clean, and up to date with current product offerings.
  • Participate in regular cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy.
  • Complete order transfers between store locations as needed.
  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move product (training provided).
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized counter and warehouse areas.
  • Support warehouse functions such as picking, packing, and stocking during peak times.
  • Assist with store operations and special projects as directed by the store manager.
  • Communicate professionally via phone and email with internal teams and customers.
  • Occasionally drive a company vehicle to pick up materials from vendors or other store locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
