Counter Sales Specialist

We are a family-oriented company with an established culture that changes jobs into long lasting careers. We are looking for Counter Sales Specialists to join our Texas Stores! Texas Locations: North Richland Hills, Boulevard 26 Farmers Branch, Valley View Lane Fort Worth, McCart Avenue Arlington, Crossroads North Job Summary: Counter Sales Specialist is responsible for coming to work as a friendly associate ensuring each customer receives amazing service following the Van Marcke standards. Aiding customers by answering any questions they may have and helping them locate the merchandise they are looking for. They will assist in the receiving, stocking, pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly store.
Requirements
- Education/Training: High School degree, some college preferred.
- Possess product knowledge of hardware-related and/or plumbing products along with a willingness to learn.
- Previous experience in a retail environment either in sales or merchandising roles.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekday shifts and some Saturdays to meet the needs of the business.
- Ability to travel to other Texas Store Locations if needed.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds frequently to load and unload customer orders.
- Ability to stand for an extended period.
- Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth.
- All New Hires will be trained in assisting customers from start to finish. (This includes completing a purchase using our POS system)

- The ideal Sales Associate candidate would have retail experience with counter sales.
Responsibilities
- Stocking / Replenish out of stock items.
- Cleanliness of the store: Taking out the trash, dust and mop floors, clean restroom, associate room, and clean stockroom.
- Processing new shipments and helping keep the receiving and back stock area clean and organized.
- Learn and follow established safety rules and safe work practices. Reports accidents immediately to a manager.
- It is proactively monitoring customers and if shoplifting is suspected or observed, provides a higher level of service, and notifies the manager on duty immediately.
- Any other duties assigned by Management.
