The Counter Sales Representative is a pivotal role responsible for assisting both walk-in and online customers. This position requires providing excellent customer service, maintaining a professional attitude, and collaborating closely with the sales department and distribution center team members. The representative will also handle customer phone inquiries and participate in continuous improvement projects as assigned by the leadership team.

  • Assist walk-in and online customers by answering questions and providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers, the sales department, and distribution center employees.
  • Print pick tickets and assign warehouse inventory locations.
  • Answer customer questions and needs through phone calls, emails, and sales platforms regarding products and services.
  • Collect and input payment information from customers.
  • Add new customer information, send quotes, and input orders through sales platforms.
  • Handle customer concerns and resolve problems.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as detailed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of quality policies and establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean working environment.
  • Make recommendations and provide feedback to improve operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner.
  • Follow all safety procedures as detailed by SOP, local instruction, and supervision.
  • Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned by the Leadership Team.
  • 1+ years of experience working in counter sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
  • Comfortable talking on the phone to customers and greeting them face-to-face.
  • Good job tenure, with at least 1 year in each role.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a good, friendly, and positive attitude.
  • Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
