About The Position

The Counter Sales in Training position is an entry-level developmental role within Branch Operations. This position is designed to provide structured training and hands-on experience in customer service, order processing, product knowledge, warehouse support, and general branch operations within a wholesale distribution environment specializing in security, fire, access control, AV, and low-voltage products. The role supports customers while developing the skills necessary for advancement into Counter Sales or Inside Sales positions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer proficiency.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Prior customer service, retail, or warehouse experience.
Interest in electronics, security systems, or low-voltage technology.
Demonstrated interest in career growth within sales or operations.

Responsibilities

Provide professional and timely service to walk-in customers.
Process sales orders, returns, and exchanges accurately in the company’s order management system.
Assist customers with product selection under supervision while developing product knowledge.
Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for pickup.
Receive, stock, and organize incoming inventory shipments.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales counter and warehouse areas.
Participate in inventory cycle counts and accuracy initiatives.
Complete assigned product and systems training modules.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Support branch operations and perform additional duties as assigned.
