About The Position

American Pool Supply is looking for a self-motivated and customer service-oriented Counter Sales Associate. This full-time role involves order entry at the sales counter, along with various related tasks such as warehouse duties, stocking shelves, shipping products, and loading trucks. The position operates Monday through Friday, with potential overtime during peak seasons.

Requirements

• Basic computer knowledge and Internet use
• Experience with irrigation/landscaping products (preferred but not required)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
• Forklift experience (helpful)
• Ability to lift 75 lbs; 50 lbs on a repetitive basis
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

Responsibilities

• Entering orders at the point of sale using the company computer system
• Interacting with customers over the phone, via email, and in-person
• Greeting customers with a friendly attitude
• Communicating to customers the correct product for their application
• Explaining how the material is priced and sold
• Creating Sales Orders
• Creating Quotes to estimate project costs and material quantities
• Efficiently scheduling truck deliveries
• Maintaining clear communication between manager, employees, and clients
• Being honest, courteous, and respectful to customers and employees at all times
• Maintaining a clean work environment
• Learning basic knowledge of products available to customers
• Informing management of products or special order materials needed by customers
• Assisting with Inventory Cycle Counts
• Order picking, staging, and replenishment
• Shipping and receiving
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Performing other related duties as assigned
