About The Position

The Counter Sales Associate at McNaughton-McKay Electric Co. is responsible for processing orders from walk-in customers, managing transactions, and providing basic technical support. This role involves maintaining a balanced cash drawer, assisting with will call, and ensuring a neat and professional counter area. The associate will also engage in warehouse operations and support quality initiatives, contributing to the overall success of the company and its customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of work experience in warehouse operations required.
• Two or more years working knowledge of internal operations and products authorized to be distributed through McNaughton-McKay.
• Excellent communications skills with the ability to interact with customers in a professional manner.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, organizing, prioritizing and completing of tasks.
• Basic PC skills with MS Office products required.

Responsibilities

• Enters customer order into the business system.
• Completes order by filling, checking and processing order.
• Maintains a balanced cash drawer.
• Assists at will call when needed.
• Provides customer with basic technical support.
• Handles incoming returns from customer and forwards to return cart.
• Re-stocks material that is not sold.
• Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions product weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products.
• Operates forklift: proper training and certification required.
• Assists in maintaining a neat & professional counter area including general housekeeping as needed.
• Assists in daily warehouse operations when requested by leader/supervisor/manager.
• Creates, implements and revises work procedures and instructions.
• Supports the quality initiatives set forth by the Region.
