About The Position

POSITION PURPOSE: Meet and exceed the customer shopping experience by delivering excellent customer service within the Garden Center group under the culture and standards of Suncrest policies and procedures

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in an upscale retail setting requiring excellent customer service acumen.
  • Strong computer skillset; IT and software.
  • Must be able to work weekends and extended hours during peak season
  • Previous experience in managing 5-10 staff member

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and maintain a complete understanding of all operating functions of the POS system and cashier registers including all key-holder responsibilities.
  • Assist Director of Operations in hiring reporting position staff as needed in a timely manner.
  • Conduct and oversee all training aspects of cashier and carry-out staff positions, including orientation and onboarding requirements as needed, to maintain proper staffing needs.
  • Be a friendly, outgoing, upbeat presence within the garden center; greeting customers and engaging with them throughout the store.
  • Assist buying manager and garden center associates with displaying and labeling product as needed to maintain current inventories.
  • Complete daily and weekly inventory controls of hard goods and chemicals, including reordering, stocking, and storing of product to maintain proper inventories.
  • Assist Director of Operations in preparing for the weekly or quarterly staff meeting as needed.
  • Abide by the rules and regulations set forth in the Suncrest employee handbook.
  • Coordinate with the Administrative Assistant in preparing weekly work schedules for staff.
  • Be able to assist customers on a one-to-one basis.
  • Be a hands-on problem solver for the customer.
