About The Position

The Count Team Member will safeguard the company's assets while ensuring accurate tracking of funds associated with slots, table games, and kiosk drops. Collect, count, and manage cash from the casino gaming floor in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures. Sort, log, and account for money from slot machines on the casino floor. Ensure all totals are verified, balanced, and recorded. ROLE EXPECTATIONS Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for handling slot bill validators, table games drops, audit fills/credits and reconciliations, meets and adheres to state and local regulations, i.e. Gaming Control Board, internal audit, as well as company and department policies and procedures. Handles all aspects of the count, starting from unboxing, preparing drops, verifying documentation, and bundling currency, up to the final reconciliation of totals, and any other associated tasks. Collect and transport all currency acceptor boxes to the Count Rooms Count and record contents of the table drop and currency acceptor cash boxes Informs supervisors of any discrepancies or variances. Maintains all records, reports and other required paperwork in the count division Contributes to a team effort and accomplished related results as required. Accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports Ensure maintenance of a clean and organized count room Ensure adequate cleaning and maintenance of all drop and count equipment Performs other job-related duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of 10-key and currency counting equipment
  • General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of staff and leadership
  • An intermediate to proficient understanding of Computer systems such as: Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is preferred
  • Proven ability to resolve guest conflicts with ease or determine if management is needed in certain guest situations
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
  • A valid Nevada Gaming License is required and must be obtained before entering this position
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with frequent bending, stooping, and lifting
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds, unassisted in the performance of specific tasks as assigned
  • Must be able to push a slot ticket cart and an impressment cart
  • Must be physically able to access, service, and operate all required equipment on the casino floor.
  • Must be able to use an "in-ear" communication device
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
  • Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of cash handling experience
  • Experience working in a similar resort setting
