About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Count Team Member is to ensure all monies are collected from Table Games and Slots and accurately account for such monies according to federal, state, and local gaming regulations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct drop and count while following all regulations, internal controls and gaming codes and bring any discrepancies to the attention of supervisor. Ensure all doors are secured and locked after opening machines during drop. Assist and when leading count team; responsible for completing and submitting all paperwork for accounting. Work close with Count Team Supervisor to identify and resolve any problems such as discrepancies or other issues that may come up in the count room. Responsible for completing paperwork accurately. When notified by auditing of errors and mistakes, make the necessary changes to comply with auditing requirements. Assist with minor maintenance of currency counters and coin wrapping equipment; notifying supervisor of any machines mechanical problems. Responsible for the accuracy of the count; verifying accuracy with other members of the count team; recounts and verifies any noted differences with other count team members. When required, operate the scale. Wrap all coins from the vault after weighing. Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with company policies and procedures to all internal and external guests. Promote teamwork in the department by assisting others with tasks. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must possess a least a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills both in person and over the phone.
  • Must be able and willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be fluent in English in both verbal and written forms, including effective communication in spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
  • Must be 21 years or older and able to obtain a UMUGC Support license.
  • Must have adequate knowledge of high school math.
  • Must be able to pass a math proficiency and 10-key proficiency test.
  • Must be able to obtain and wear steel toed shoes.
  • Must be able to adapt and learn in a faced-paced environment.
  • Must have basic computer skills with the ability to operate most standard office equipment including a calculator/10-key, phone, fax, etc.
  • Must be able to work with various amounts of money with attention to details in cashiering work including deposits and daily paperwork.
  • Must be able to lift, bend and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk during shift.
  • The employee is required to regularly reach above shoulder level, bend, stoop, or squat.
  • Must be able to frequently lift, carry, or move up to 85 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
