About The Position

Primary Objective: To help support the unique and dynamic developmental needs of adolescent learners To support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well being of all students

Requirements

• Missouri Counselor Certification
• Master's Degree required
• Experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide staff, students, and parents with guidance on course placement
• Collaborate with school social worker, teachers, students and parents to determine possible need for 504 accommodations; distribute 504 plan to appropriate teachers; oversee implementation
• Actively participate in IEP meetings and provide feedback in support of student needs
• Provide a welcoming and thorough process for new students that includes course selection and acclimation into the school environment
• Meet with parents as needed to discuss academic progress, social/emotional concerns and safe and healthy lifestyles
• Facilitate or participate in conferences with teachers regarding student progress
• Support students in crisis
• Share with staff individual assessment data along with strategies for improvement
• Provide individual and group counseling services
• Collaborate with outside providers and community partners to secure resources to support student needs
• Provide responsive services to students in need
• Other duties as assigned
