Job SummaryThe CBI Outpatient Counselor is responsible for ensuring, with the assistance of other treatment team members, that each participant is provided the services necessary to achieve the goals of treatment as outlined in their individualized treatment plan. Outpatient Counselor’s familiarize themselves, through review of the medical/clinical file, with each new participant who is assigned to them, including their assessment and treatment plan, provide counseling services based on best practices models to include group, individual, and family formats as well as provide educational presentations to participants and/or their families as needed. Each area below is defined by specific function as it relates to policy, process, and the governing rules set forth by the Department of Behavioral Health Services (DBHS), Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), Office of Behavioral Health Licensure (OBHL), and the Code of Federal Regulations. Each employee will be held accountable and responsible for fulfilling each of these duties as well as having the capability to carry them out.
