About The Position

At The Well, our Counselors support the well-being of clients through compassionate care, strong clinical practice, and a deep commitment to our core values. We are seeking licensed or license-eligible professionals who are adaptable, collaborative, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals and families we serve. This posting reflects counseling opportunities across multiple programs within our organization. Counselors may provide services in residential, outpatient, telehealth, or child and family settings depending on experience, licensure, and organizational need. As the only Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in Northeast Nebraska, The Well offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on whole-person care, innovation, and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Nebraska as a (P)LADC, (P)LMHP, LIMHP, or related behavioral health credential
  • Strong interpersonal skills including empathy, warmth, and effective communication
  • Ability to build therapeutic alliances and adapt clinical approaches
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices (CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused, REBT, Reality Therapy, Person-Centered, Gestalt, etc.)
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and ethical standards
  • Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and problem-solving ability
  • Commitment to professional growth, self-care, and collaboration

Nice To Haves

  • Dual licensure ((P)LADC and (P)LMHP/LIMHP) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling services
  • Conduct screenings, intakes, assessments, and treatment planning
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to client needs
  • Build strong therapeutic relationships grounded in empathy and accountability
  • Coordinate care with internal teams and community partners
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Respond to crisis situations when needed
  • Support discharge planning and aftercare coordination
  • Participate in staffing, consultation, and ongoing professional development
  • Perform the 12 Core Functions of counseling
