About The Position

As a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, you will deliver client-focused clinical services, helping individuals navigate their recovery journey. Your role includes facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions while maintaining compliance with clinical and accreditation standards.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling or related field with licensure (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or certification (CAADC) or ability to obtain.
• Bachelor's Degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling or related field with CADC or ability to obtain.
• Associates Degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling or related field with CAAC or ability to obtain.
• High School Diploma with CAAC.
• Registered Nurse with a degree from an accredited school and one year of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients' behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs and collaborate with the treatment team on progress toward goals.
• Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions while ensuring a positive therapeutic environment.
• Document client engagement and clinical services in the Electronic Clinical Record (ECR) per program policy.
• Provide support for utilization review (UR) processes and aftercare planning.
• Participate in curriculum development, training, and program improvement initiatives.
• Conduct Level of Care Assessments and participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention.
• Complete required training and other duties as assigned.
