You will provide individual and group counseling services while working in close collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or 2+ years’ experience in Chemical Dependency treatment and in process of earning Chemical Dependency Counselor certification in lieu of High School Diploma required.
  • Valid unencumbered CDCA, LCDC or LICDC License in the state of Ohio is required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Competency in the treatment of mental health and/or substance use disorders within the context of individual, group, couples and family systems therapy.
  • Working understanding of motivational interviewing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct exceptional assessment and provide SUD focused treatment services for clients.
  • Actively engage in supervision with your Supervisor.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize Motivational Interviewing/Stages.
  • Maintain client charting in accordance with Medicaid, JCAHO, ODADAS, ODMH, CARF and professional standards.
  • Actively consults with supervisor to act upon ethical and legal aspects of the organization.
  • Acts to understand and safeguard the welfare of clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.
