About The Position

As a Counselor, you will provide therapeutic services that help patients and families navigate illness, strengthen coping skills, and maintain optimal functioning. You’ll conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and ensure individuals are connected with the right resources at the right time. This is a role for someone who brings both clinical skill and genuine empathy to every interaction Continuing Education Provided: We offer up to 24 hours of continuing education each year to support licensure maintenance—an investment in your professional growth that can save clinicians over $1,200 annually in CE expenses.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling from an accredited institution
  • State licensure required based on degree
  • Must hold at least a graduate‑level license
  • LCSW‑C licensure from the Maryland Board of Social Workers required

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional counseling services with a high level of autonomy
  • Complete psychosocial and mental health assessments to guide treatment
  • Diagnose and support patients and families through therapeutic interventions
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
  • Offer education, counseling, and crisis support as needed
  • Connect patients with appropriate community resources and social service programs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote holistic, patient‑centered care
