About The Position

Provide counseling services (individual, group, and family) and administer intellectual and psychological test, scoring, interpretation, and report writing. In addition, clinical interviewing (youth and parent), research, consultation, and documentation of services.

Requirements

  • Ideal applicants will have earned a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field, passed the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors exam or the Examination of Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP), secured a LPC-Associate or LPA (Licensed Psychological Associate) licensure.
  • Ability to work at least two or three evenings per week (until 7 pm) as well as a weekend rotation day as needed.
  • Applicants currently pursuing a graduate degree (MA, MS, M.Ed, Ph.D) in Psychology, Counseling, or a closely related field who are on track to graduate and secure a LPC-Associate or LPA after graduation are also encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • For certain positions requiring certification, state standards shall disqualify an applicant if their criminal history reveals: 1) A felony conviction against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 10 years; a deferred adjudication for a felony against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 10 years or current felony probation or parole 2) A jailable misdemeanor conviction against the laws of this state, another state or the United States within the past 5 years; a deferred adjudication for a jailable misdemeanor against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 5 years or current misdemeanor probation or parole 3) Registered as a sex offender under Chapter 62, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.
