GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The mission of Metrocare Services is to serve our neighbors with developmental or mental health challenges by helping them find lives that are meaningful and satisfying. We are an agency committed to quality gender-responsive, trauma-informed care to individuals experiencing serious mental illness, development disabilities, and co-occurring disorders. Metrocare programs focus on the issues that matter most in the lives of the children, families and adults we serve. The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Metrocare is part of the Cohen Veterans Network, a national nonprofit (501c3) network of clinics creating an opportunity for Veterans and their families to receive free or low-cost outpatient mental health treatment. With a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed chemical dependency counselors, case managers, and veteran outreach workers, the clinic will provide evidence-based, individually-tailored outpatient mental health treatment tailored to meet the specific needs of Veterans, particularly post-9/11, and their families. www.CohenVeteransNetwork.org The Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor provides direct client care by assessing chemical dependency and providing related services to veterans and their families. With growth of this ground-breaking clinic, training and supervision involvement will increase.
