Basic Purpose Position serves as a leader of the after school dormitory curriculum which is aimed toward educating students about non-academic matters and assisting students in preparing for transition from residential school setting to an independent environment. Serves as liaison between the residential program and other campus programs; provide needed services or referral to school counselor; provide ASL and written reports as required; participates in conferences concerning student life, transition program, and dormitory curriculum; assist in the development/application of new approaches, methods, techniques, and practices for student development. Promote student success, provide tools and respond to identified student needs that addresses academic, career, and personal/social development of students. Designs, deliver, evaluate and revise appropriate activities for all residential students. Assist the Recreational Specialist with planning/monitoring activities and events with students and cover the Recreation Specialist’s activities when he/she is out.
