The Counselor I position is crucial in delivering therapeutic services to clients, ensuring that care is tailored to individual needs and adheres to established protocols and legal requirements. The role encompasses a variety of therapeutic services, including assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, and the management of client risk and safety. Counselors are expected to work collaboratively with clients to develop person-centered services that promote recovery and well-being. In this role, the Counselor I will engage with clients to assess their needs and create effective treatment plans. This involves not only providing direct therapeutic services but also ensuring that clients and their families receive integrated support that addresses mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders. The position requires a strong commitment to client safety and risk management, as well as the ability to navigate the complexities of behavioral health care. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as counseling, social work, or psychology, or have equivalent certification. Additionally, two years of experience working with adults facing mental health challenges or substance abuse issues is required. The role demands a valid driver's license and the ability to pass various screening requirements, including background checks and a DOT physical. The salary for this position ranges from $20.22 to $21.85 per hour, depending on experience, and the position is full-time with a day shift schedule.
