The counselor education unit in the Department of Counseling, Educational Leadership, and Higher Education (CEH) at Central Michigan University is now accepting applications for a 10-month, full-time tenure-track faculty position at the assistant or associate rank in counselor education, effective August 2026 (or January 2026, if available to start earlier). This is an in-person position based on CMU's main campus in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The successful candidate will be committed to the academic success of all students and to an environment that acknowledges, encourages, respects, and celebrates diversity and differences. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The CMU Counseling Program is an award-winning CACREP-accredited counseling program, with concentrations in addiction, clinical mental health, and school counseling. We currently offer a hybrid program on our main campus and a fully online program (both part- and full-time options). We are seeking a counselor educator who has completed education in a CACREP-accredited doctoral program to teach both on main campus (Mount Pleasant, MI) and online (both synchronous and asynchronous formats). This individual must have a strong professional counseling identity demonstrated by clinical experience and active licensure/credentialing as a counselor. Summer teaching opportunities may also be available.
