The Counselor Education Unit at Central Michigan University is excited to invite applications for a 9-month, full-time, remote fixed term faculty position in Counseling, beginning August 2026. As our CACREP-accredited online program continues to expand, we're looking for a passionate Counselor Educator who wants to help prepare the next generation of mental health professionals for schools and communities nationwide. CMU's Counseling Program offers 60-credit degrees in Addiction, Clinical Mental Health, and School Counseling, delivered through flexible online formats, including 8- or 16-week courses taught live in the evenings (EST; Mondays-Thursdays) and 8-week asynchronous options. Candidates would be required to teach four courses per semester (fall and spring). Supplemental summer teaching opportunities may also be available. Candidates should bring a strong professional counseling identity, demonstrated through clinical and/or school experience and active licensure/credentialing. This position is open to remote work from within the United States; however, priority consideration will be given to candidates located in Michigan.
