MAJOR FUNCTION: Conducts addictions assessments and individual, group, and family treatment in accordance with professional standards and requirements of licensing/accrediting bodies. Participates as member of the multidisciplinary team providing treatment, discharge planning and linkage of clients to treatment and community supports. Clearly documents assessments and interventions according to policy. QUALIFICATION: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in social services, substance use, or related field required. Masters degree is required for the license level. A minimum of one-year related work experience. Certification/Licensure: Drug and Alcohol Counselor Certification (CADC) required. Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) required. Current New Jersey CADC Certification/Licensure required. Welle Training required within first 100 days of hire. Knowledge & Skills: Demonstrates working knowledge of current DSM Manual, co-occurring issues and treatment and community resources. Ability to work well in an interdisciplinary team. Basic leadership skills and decision-making ability.
