Assess a child’s cognitive abilities and administer testing to children using a variety of instruments and techniques that are appropriate for the individual child. Recommend challenging yet achievable cognitive and academic goals for children with different abilities, disabilities, strengths and needs; and develop interventions to achieve these goals. demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work, communicate, and collaborate effectively with families, co-workers, schools and community agencies. Apply sound principles of data-based decision making to all aspects of practice. Demonstrate sensitivity and skills needed to work with families, children and staff from various cultures and backgrounds. Ability to drive for satellite clinics, provide trainings and support groups to the community. Provide internal trainings to the staff. Participate in multidisciplinary assessments and team integration meetings. Provide counseling services to children and adolescents. Interpret evaluation and assessment results and recommend challenging yet achievable cognitive and academic goals for children with different abilities, disabilities, strengths and needs; and develop interventions to achieve these goals. Provide trainings and support groups to families, staff, school personnel, therapists and professional organizations. Participate in developing appropriate developmental outcomes and strategies as part of the multidisciplinary team.
