About The Position
The Counselor position at Cortland House in San Francisco involves providing support and assistance to clients in a residential treatment program. Under the supervision of an Assistant Director or Program Director, the Counselor is responsible for advocating for clients' treatment and rehabilitation needs. This role includes conducting intake interviews, orienting new clients, responding to emergencies, developing treatment plans, and leading group sessions. Counselors also participate in meal planning, maintain progress records, and ensure compliance with agency policies and regulations.
