Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's or master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field strongly preferred.
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in substance use field preferred.
Professional certification or licensure (LSW, LPC, LCSW, LCPC, or CADC required, or must obtain within two (2) years of hire date).
Annual TB test required.
Knowledge and experience using DSM-5 and ASAM criteria to make accurate diagnosis of substance use disorders and treatment/intervention recommendations required.
Demonstrated ability to record and proofread information on forms and charts required.
Demonstrated ability to adhere to professional standards of ethics and maintain professionalism at all times.
Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
Excellent organization, presentation and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
Background check clearance required.

Nice To Haves

Experience providing telehealth services preferred.
Familiarity with accreditation and licensure standards preferred.
Valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency preferred.
Access to reliable transportation preferred.
Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide a continuum of counseling services to individuals with alcohol/drug, co-occurring, or gambling related conditions and/or problems using a variety of therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices.
Coordinate and facilitate group and individual counseling sessions (ASAM Levels 0.5, 1, 2.1, continuing care), DUI, and psychoeducation.
Responsible for an assigned caseload and the associated documentation including treatment planning, insurance authorization, continuing care, case management and discharge plans. Monitor progress and participants' response to treatment.
Communicate professionally and consistently with referral sources to provide status reports and completion/discharge documentation for mutual clients.
Complete biopsychosocial assessment, alcohol/drug evaluations, and DUI evaluations using DSM-5 and ASAM criteria.
Maintain weekly performance productivity.
Ensure adherence to ethical standards of treatment, including NASW Code of Ethics.
Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
