The New England Center for Children (NECC) is looking for individuals who are passionate about helping our students lead more independent lives. Adult Services Counselors work in our residential adult services program and provide direct care support to our adult consumers. Counselors are trained to use ABA therapy to implement and enhance their clinical, educational, and vocational skills and will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, cooking, cleaning, toileting, and shopping. They are also trained in medication administration (MAP), student van transportation, and verbal and physical de-escalation of challenging behaviors (CALM training), allowing our students to effectively communicate their needs, improve their problem-solving skills, and maintain their well-being.
