Job Title Counsel About your role: A successful Legal Counsel at Fiserv supports our Global Strategic Sourcing division. You will focus on drafting and negotiating vendor agreements and providing critical legal support to our corporate support functions, with a primary focus on technology, software, cloud services, and professional services contracting. You will lead vendor negotiations, advise cross‑functional stakeholders, and drive process improvements that enhance contracting efficiency and consistency across the enterprise. Acting as a legal liaison, you will partner closely with procurement, technology, implementation teams, and business leaders to support scalable and commercially sound outcomes.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school and in good standing with State Bar with no disciplinary record.
  • Licensed to practice, and ability to become licensed as in-house counsel to practice, in the applicable state.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience as a transactional lawyer.
  • You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, order forms, amendments, and related schedules for technology, software, cloud, hosting, and professional services agreements
  • Identify legal, financial, and operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Advise contracts professionals, business stakeholders, implementation teams, and technology leaders on legal and commercial issues.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on commercial and technology contracting matters.
  • Provide education and training to internal partners on contracting practices and risk considerations.
  • Drive strategic process improvement initiatives related to vendor contracting and document review.
  • Develop, maintain and help standardize forms of contracts, templates and other legal documentation to promote consistency and efficiency across the enterprise.
