About The Position
We are active in venture, opportunistic real estate and family office activities. Check out www.arc-vc.com and www.arcny.com. We are seeking a person who can function in all areas, business and legal directly or through interaction with outside professionals, thinking as a business person as well as a lawyer. We look to do in-house what we can and use outside counsel when required. Relevant areas of law are: Contracts Business organizations (corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, special purpose vehicles, joint ventures, trusts) Finance (equity, debt, hybrid) Venture at all stages - both direct and fund Real Estate including: assemblage, rezoning, ground up development, repositioning, leasing, and sales Intellectual Property Fund Formation Litigation Employment law
Requirements
- 3 - 6+ years of experience preferred
- A keen understanding or interest in business of the sort Arc is involved in
- Excellent computer skills
- interested in both law and business
- diligent, but creative
- quick learning, but careful
- detail oriented, but out-side-the-box thinking
- sensitive to all aspects of human nature, with a personal center of high integrity
- passionate for exploration and innovation, tempered with the rigors of legal training
