Job Title Counsel About your role: A successful Counsel at Fiserv supports our Merchant Solutions division. You will focus on drafting and negotiating agreements with clients and strategic partners, while also providing critical legal support to our product teams. You will provide legal advice on various laws and rules related to our businesses and engage with our senior business and sales executives.

Requirements

JD from an accredited law school and in good standing with State Bar with no disciplinary record.
Licensed to practice, and ability to become licensed as in-house counsel to practice, in the applicable state.
2+ years of relevant experience as a transactional lawyer.
You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

Draft and negotiate commercial agreements directly with business unit representatives.
Advise business partners on legal, contractual, and risk matters impacting their business units or product sets.
Partner with product teams to commercialize new products and functionalities.
Provide legal consultation and advice on strategic initiatives, technology projects, and dispute resolution.
Collaborate effectively with corporate specialists on credit, risk, finance, audit, tax, regulatory, privacy, intellectual property and technology matters impacting the Merchant Solutions division.
Develop and maintain forms of contracts and other legal documentation.
