About The Position
Verizon is seeking an experienced, energetic, talented attorney to join its Emerging Technology and Partnerships Legal Team supporting Verizon's Technology and Product Development organization, including Innovation Labs, pre-commercial technology deployments, and emerging technology development teams (e.g., robotics, computer vision, edge computing, AI), as well as Verizon's strategic innovation partnerships across industries. The ideal candidate is a technology and business-minded attorney with early product development and tech transactions experience who can manage day-to-day legal support for dynamic technologists and business development teams, and demonstrates a capacity and curiosity for learning a wide variety of new technologies and areas of law. The candidate must have sound business and legal judgment, thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment, demonstrate an ability to provide both pragmatic and proactive legal advice, and negotiate complex joint development and licensing arrangements with partners and customers. The candidate must be able to independently scope, draft, and negotiate strategic innovation transactions with other leading technology companies.
