Provides business oriented legal advice and counseling to Business Partners. Responsibility for various legal matters with low or medium complexity. As Counsel - Commercial, you will be responsible for: Working in conjunction with legal colleagues to support the delivery of legal services related to Siemens Healthineers’ broad & expanding portfolio of medical devices and services, with a focus on supporting the Varian cancer care business area. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements to meet business and legal requirements, including highly complex sales agreements, complex collaboration agreements, business associate agreements, confidentiality agreements and request for proposals with a focus on sales contracts for the sale or leasing of linear accelerators and related software and services. Collaborating with sales, marketing, finance, and other departments to analyze business, regulatory and legal contract terms while managing legal and regulatory risks. Actively counseling the sales, finance and operations staff members on commercial law, healthcare regulations, fraud & abuse, privacy and related topics. Developing creative and compliant solutions to resolve complicated business challenges and customer disputes. Developing and delivering training of sales and other personnel on commercial law, regulatory matters, Siemens Healthineers’ templates and other relevant topics. Requirements to have for the success of this role: Minimum of 6 years of commercial law experience. Admitted to practice law in the United States. Ability to operate as a team player who can effectively work with and manage competing priorities in a fast- paced environment. Experience in federal government contracting, real estate law and/or bankruptcy law a plus Ability to independently lead and execute all facets of challenging engagements with highest integrity and ethics - from preliminary/conceptual advice, through structuring, negotiating, drafting, closing, and any subsequent conflict resolution. Experience with US healthcare legal and regulatory environments, including anti-kickback laws, fraud and abuse statutes, and privacy laws applicable to medical device manufacturers preferred. The base pay range for this position is: $123,100 - $169,268 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance. Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of commercial law experience.
