About The Position

The Counsel for Cable Legal, Intellectual Property and AI at Comcast Corporation is responsible for providing legal support in the areas of trademark and copyright law, particularly as it relates to the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies. This role is part of the Legal Department's Intellectual Property Team and involves evaluating legal risks, advising on IP matters, and ensuring compliance with evolving laws in the AI space. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a collaborative spirit and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree with strong academic credentials.
• Member of a state bar in good standing and eligible for Pennsylvania Bar or Pennsylvania Limited In-House Corporate Counsel License.
• Minimum 4-6 years combined of experience in a top law firm or in-house legal department.
• Strong background in intellectual property law and litigation.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple business units.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AI concepts and legal implications.
• Familiarity with digital tools and experiences in the media and technology sector.

Responsibilities

• Provides intellectual property advice in response to requests to implement AI technologies within Comcast.
• Monitors developments in the area of AI and IP law to help maintain and update best practices and policies.
• Performs legal research in the area of trademarks and copyrights, as appropriate to resolve legal issues.
• Consults with and supervises outside counsel as needed.
• Operates with a moderate level of supervision with no direct management responsibilities.
• Carries out duties consistent with strategic plans and directives as determined by more senior level management and attorneys.
• Exercises independent and sound judgment in legal matters.
