About The Position

The Catering and Events Coordinator will work with the Director of Food Services and Events with the planning, execution, and delivery of Centre Catering and events. This person is also responsible for seeking new and expanded opportunities for the Centre to provide event planning services on or off the grounds. Work requires creative and strategic thinking to develop events and programs that retain existing clientele, attract more clientele for the Centre and promote an environment of Christ-centered entertainment, wellness, and growth.

Requirements

  • Live a Christ-centered life and have a strong commitment to excellence.
  • 1-3 years experience in event planning and logistics.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Passion for creating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain both the Main Cougar Den and Little Cougar Den.
  • Cleaning, organizing, folding, sorting, hanging.
  • Unpack inventory upon arrival and distribute to appropriate Den.
  • Open Main Cougar Den for LCS varsity home athletic events.
  • Including all home football games and mutually decided upon dates for other sporting events (approx. ½ of varsity games).
  • Open and work Main Cougar Den for special events.
  • Open Houses, Grandparent’s Day, etc.
  • Recruit and schedule volunteers to assist working the Dens when needed (games, events, etc.).
  • Open and work Main Cougar Den and Little Cougar Den during the school week.
  • Dens should be open 30 mins – one hour (Main Den – 2 Days/week, Little Cougar Den – 1 Day/week)
  • Inventory tracking and management, specifically responsible for keeping track of, and communicating, low inventory items.
  • Den Manager will not be responsible for design or ordering.
