About The Position

We currently have an opening for a caring and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Site Coordinator to join our excellent team of rehab professionals. Lakeview Village in Lenexa, Kansas is a 5-Star not-for-profit continuing care retirement community that offers a variety of living options and services to seniors, including Outpatient Therapy. In addition to an on-campus outpatient therapy clinic, Lakeview’s therapy team also provides services at six other locations near the main campus. The COTA Site Coordinator assists in the overall coordination of therapy services within the offsite facility, promotes positive communication and provides leadership for therapy employees, and communicates with the offsite facility to build relationships and strengthen the partnership between Lakeview Village therapy employees and offsite facility employees.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
  • Must be licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the State of Kansas, and nationally credited as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Demonstrates good communications skills, including but not limited to effective reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills, with a fluent understanding of English.
  • Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with the elderly is preferred.
  • Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care as directed by supervising therapist and or Outpatient Therapy Agency Administrator.
  • Works on caseload generation for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology services.
  • Assists with staffing plans and scheduling.
  • Attends weekly meetings with offsite facility employees as directed, assists with interdisciplinary therapy team meetings as directed.
  • Communicates with Outpatient Therapy Agency Administrator on regular basis for ongoing program development and quality outcomes.
  • Ensures that the outpatient clinic complies with all Lakeview Village outpatient agency policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Ensures that the clinic lease and contractual agreement tasks are completed.
