About The Position

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Sunrise Hospital plays a crucial role in providing treatment to a diverse range of patients with various medical conditions. Under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists, the COTA is responsible for implementing therapy care programs, ensuring patient confidentiality, and adapting treatment plans based on individual patient needs. This position is integral to the rehabilitation process in acute, sub-acute, and outpatient settings, contributing to the overall health and recovery of patients.

Requirements

• Graduate from an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire.
• 1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred, but entry-level graduates will be considered.
• Occupational Therapy License.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment programs as planned by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
